| AGS BookWorks has the proven capability
to produce all kinds of publications, especially complex, design-intensive,
large-format, illustrated books.
Our capabilities:
• Writing. Our founder, Bill Yenne, is the
best-selling author of more than 75 books on a broad range of topics,
and AGS also works with contract writers and in-house professional
writers to accomplish our projects on time and on budget.
• Research. In the course of producing 200
books over the past two decades, AGS has developed a working relationship
with libraries and information and content sources worldwide. We
have also worked with photographers and picture libraries around
the globe to obtain the necessary images and content for our book
projects. When the situation warrants, we will also dispatch an
assigned photographer.
• Content. In today's information-hungry
world, one word that seems to be on everyone's lips is "content."
At AGS, content has been our business for over two decades. For
The
Field Guide to Elvis Shrines , we travelled the byways
of popular culture to assemble an unprecedented database of information
to produce what The New York Times said was "Enough to wear
out several pairs of blue suede shoes." For Gothic
Gargoyles, we travelled to Europe to amass the largest
collection of color photographs of gargoyles in the world.
• Putting the Book Together. In addition
to content, the AGS team also provides proofreading, copy-editing,
indexing, design, illustration and typesetting services to support
our projects and to get them ready to go on press.
• Going to Press. When a book is ready to
be printed, AGS will coordinate the printing process with printers
either in the United States or overseas to get the job done and
delivered, on time and on budget.
